Maybe you’ve got some questions when you see an ice cream this intense. It’s okay–we don’t blame you and we’re happy to answer!

What is your “overrun”?

We do not inject any air or add overrun in our process, which is crucial to our unique full-strength ice cream with a taffy-like texture. Yes, we are very rich, dense, creamy, and a spoon-bending ice cream, but it is incredible, and we hope you enjoy it.

where can i buy your ice cream?

On our website under the Where To Buy page you will find our store locator. Some grocery stores that carry our ice cream then make the decisions as to which stores they want to sell our ice cream out of so our store location is a best guess sometimes. To be sure a particular store near your location carries our ice cream, you’ll want to call them directly first!

Do you ship your ice cream direct to customers?

We’ve gone back and forth over this, and unfortunately at this time we do not offer direct shipping to customers. Please refer to our store locator HERE to see if a store near you carries us, otherwise we hope to someday offer this luxery in the future.

Do you have any gluten-free flavors?

You are in luck - almost every flavor we have is gluten-free. The only flavor of ours that is not gluten-free is our Cookies & Cream at this time–otherwise you are good to go!

Do you have any dairy-free flavors?

We have devoted our craft to making the best full-strength ice cream around. If you are looking for dairy-free options you will have to look elsewhere.

What does it mean to be “sqf-certified”?

Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification stands out as a unique program recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It is the only certification with a food quality component integrated into its robust food safety platform.

This means we prioritize food safety as highly as we prioritize food quality at our plant and we adhere to higher quality standards than other plants that are not SQF certified.

Despite the early stage of our business, we have already invested into SQF certification to ensure the highest level of quality and safety for our customers.

What does “no injected air” mean?

We believe air has no place in ice cream, and this is what lends to our density and taffy-like texture. Most brands fluff up their ice cream with 20-50% air, meaning you get less ice cream in every container. And here’s a fun fact: if you see a "frozen dessert" in the grocery store, that means that they injected OVER 50% air into their "ice cream" and have lost their privileges to call it ice cream.

Does your product contain allergens? (Milk, dairy, peanuts, etc.)

All Crooked Spoon Ice Cream products contain milk and egg allergens. Our Fudge Brownie, Butter Pecan, Amaretto, and Rocky Road contains tree nuts. Cookies & Cream contain Wheat and Soy. Rocky Road and Gingerbread may contain Soy. Our Chocolate Peanut Butter contains peanuts. Crooked Spoon Ice Cream has shared equipment between these allergens, but we utilize sanitation and segregated storage practices to ensure there is not cross-contamination of allergens from one product to another.
